Finishes:
Visual – This is intended for use where the appearance of the timber is crucial. The surfaces are machined to a high-quality finish, with small tight knots permitted, and all surface voids filled. This grade is available with several finishes:
Bandsawn
Pre-primed
Sanded and sealed.
Non-Visual – This is suitable for applications where appearance is not a priority. It is available in different treatment grades, and all surface blemishes, knots, and voids are acceptable. The surfaces are machined, but imperfections are not repaired.
Treatment Options:
H1.2 Boron: Provides resistance against fungal decay and insect attack, suitable for internal use only. Available in a clear finish for visual products and dyed for non-visual products.
H3.2 MCA: A copper-based treatment that offers long-lasting outdoor protection against fungal decay and timber-boring insects. It is suitable for exterior above-ground use.
H3.2 CCA: Similar to MCA, this treatment provides protection for exterior above-ground applications, ensuring resistance to decay and insects.
H5 MCA & H5 CCA: Both treatments are suitable for in-ground structural use, offering enhanced durability and protection against decay and insects in harsh conditions.
